A mother reconnects with her son after he completes a seven year prison sentence; a transformed son finds his feet in a new world. An uplifting tale of longing and endurance, This Son & This Mother explores the challenge of reform in culture of punishment and how love survives when all is taken away.

Chloe White is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and photographer and director of Whalebone Films and Whalebone Workshops. Her directorial debut, feature documentary 1001 DAYS premiered at IDFA and Sheffield Doc Fest.
