Synopsis:

Following his welcome into the RIBA hall of fame, architect Níall McLaughlin reflects on his life, his work, and his process.

This has been one of my favourite short documentary projects. Blake, Laura and the team at Gusto created a beautiful artistic treatment for the film and in cooperation with Níall crafted the wonderful lyrical script, so after reading these I was really excited about being asked to come on board. Then in a really short space of time the team managed to produce a wealth of gorgeous material to work with - both planned and in response to evolving circumstances. Crafting this film was a joy from start to finish and I’m so proud of the result.

Response from Níall McLaughlin:

“Thank you. That was a real pleasure. Please send my congratulations to the team for their wonderful work. I was especially taken by the beautiful rhythmic repetition of hands, voices, and bodies in movement. It captured something important about the world as we imagine it.”
